Kanyam Tea Garden
In Nepali: कन्याम चियाबगान

Kanyam lies on the road between Fikkal and Ilam, where the Kanyam Tea Estate spreads over gentle slopes shaded by tall trees. It is a favourite picnic and photo stop, especially in the soft morning light.
Nearby Fikkal is a busy market and the turn-off for Antu Danda. Many visitors combine the three in a single trip through eastern Ilam.
What to see and do
Walk into the tea garden along its paths for the classic photograph of shade trees over rolling tea, visit the nearby tea factory, and enjoy snacks and tea at roadside stalls. Kanyam is also a popular spot for picnics and short horse rides.
Good to know
It gets busy with domestic tourists on Saturdays and holidays. Stay on the paths and do not pick tea leaves. Combine with Antu Danda and Fikkal on the same day.
