Tatopani hot springs
In Nepali: तातोपानी तातो कुण्ड

Tatopani means 'hot water'. Beside the Kali Gandaki, springs feed a pair of simple concrete pools where trekkers and locals soak tired legs, with the river roaring past and orange and banana trees all around.
The village is a junction: the trail climbs east to Ghorepani and Poon Hill, while the Kali Gandaki road leads north to Jomsom. The lower altitude means a warm climate even in winter.
What to see and do
Soak in the hot pools by the river, enjoy the village's orange and lemon groves, and use it as a rest stop between Jomsom, Ghorepani and Beni. The Kali Gandaki gorge north of here is dramatic.
Good to know
A small fee is charged for the pools. Lodges are comfortable, with fresh fruit and good food.
